How to Choose Spray Foam Euipment
When choosing a spray foam rig or equipment there are many things to consider, finding the right supplier can be difficult.
With all the different choices, how can a person make the right decision for their business? Not understanding the type of equipment you are about to purchase and it's over all functions and potential uses can lead to endless cycle's of wasted time, frustration with little to no profit left at the end of the day. First things first, you will need to find a supplier that is well diverse in having many years of "hands on experience" with not only just the equipment, but the different types of spray application's and methods. And don't forget about "safety" including OSHA requirements as well as safe handling of polyurethanes and building codes.
You will also need to understand the products that you intend to use and how they process through the equipment. These are the fundamentals of successfully get started in the right direction. I would recommend that you start by asking some questions like, do you offer training? How many years of hands on experience do you have in installing different spray foam applications? What other types of applications have you done with the equipment? Can you explain what other types of spray equipment and spray guns are on the market? Have you used them? Do you have photos of your work and where can I see them? Do you have references? Do you have an establish relationships with well known spray foam chemical manufactures and are you certified by them? How will I receive ongoing support? Can you help me estimate different types of projects? Do you offer on-site training? By asking these questions will help aid you in making your choice. Take notes when talking to a supplier for comparison on the information that they have provided you.
When making your finial dissension be sure to do your homework and take advantage of free resources like online foam school and how a spray foam machine works. Build relationships with chemical manufactures and exploring there product lines. Most manufactures will send you free samples and literature. One of the biggest mistakes that people make is not getting the proper training and support that they need. Training will be a big key and vital to your success.
