The Mistake (Chapter 17)
Joanna got out of the taxi feeling slightly rested and as she walked home, her thoughts turned away from Giancarlo and to the suitcase she not had not found at the airport. It was not so much a sense of material lose that upset her or even her diary yet the fact that she had gone all the way to the airport just to return empty handed. Naturally, Joanna had not given up on the idea of getting back her suitcase. She having it in her mind to try again soon though this was not a priority at the moment or at least not as much as just getting home and finding her bed with the intensions of laying her head down to what was bound to be a long sleep till the following morning. Joanna in fact not being required to be at her place of work till the hour of noon.
Joanna could even feel herself falling asleep as she entered her apartment in the heat of the day which still persisted in not retiring for the night. As the sun which had caused it already had yet there was something soothing about just being home. This leading to her taking off all of the clothing which had covered her during the day in order that she might walk about barefoot and nude in the place which was her own. There was something in the sensation of being nude and seeing her own body without the protection of wears that exited as she went about her apartment and strangely enough as it might be to some. This sensation in her had no connection what so ever with sexuality or anything of the sort but rather the freedom to express herself as her breasts, arms, legs and even rose moved about; no longer limited by not only coverings but by the eyes of others. This allowing her the liberty to portray herself as she felt she truly was, with her body no longer being exhibited in designs created by men but by how nature had fashioned her.
Joanna, in all reality was feeling dirty as her body on that day had released a large amount of sweat which had not only covered her clothes with unpleasant smells but the rest of her as well which she could even sense was grimy and in need of the water of a shower. How nice the water would feel Joanna thought to herself washing away the results of the days work from her being. As once she had fully exposed the full beauty and strength of her body, she went over to her bathroom where she changed her mind. Joanna, deciding upon seeing her tub that perhaps a session in hot water would benefit her more than merely having sprays of water descending upon her.
Joanna once having opted on a bubble bath turned on the faucet so that her tub might fill up to the point where it would be just right. Joanna however did not turn the faucet all the way as she wanted time to prepare herself a cup of tea before submerging herself in the relaxation which would be the perfumed water she was preparing for herself.
After having turned on the water, Joanna went over to her kitchen where she put water in her kettle for one cup of tea and sat down as she waited for it to boil to write the SMS she had promised to the send. It being addressed to the man who had been of such a gentle nature as to not only not get angry at her for spilling coffee on him but had taken her home in a taxi. He even wishing nothing for himself but the chance that perhaps someday they might meet for a cup of coffee. Giancarlo, also contrary to most of the men she had known through out her life had not even insisted on getting her contact details but had accepted to wait and see when and if she would get in touch with him.
Joanna took a seat in her kitchen and wrote out her SMS, not wishing to sound overly affectionate yet not cold. As her interest had been truly captured by this man and his cordial ways as to make her wish that they might encounter again under completely diverse circumstances. Joanna typed the SMS she would send to Giancarlo and as she did, she considered every word carefully and it was just as she sent it and saw it go that her water started to boil. Joanna even felt a sense of relieve that she had sent this SMS to Giancarlo as she turned off the water for her tea.
Joanna's tea was very hot which prompted her to take it to the bathroom where the tub already had enough water that she might at least start her bath. Joanna slid herself in to the bath, after having placed her cup of tea where she might reach it when ever thirst called for it yet the sensation of the bath was one that went directly in her mind as if by some sort of osmosis which went directly in to the core of her emotions. Finally, she was free to relax from travels and having to be at work or at least till the following day. It being her mind which pushed out all to occupy it from not only worries that included not having her suitcase to even Giancarlo. Joanna just being soothed by the hot water which she had just turned off before filling it with her favorite salts which were those of the sea to create a scene so serene that she simply dozed off while her mind headed in the direction of dream.
