Cocktail garnish
A lime peel "twist" for a garnish adds an elegant touch to this Martini

Cocktail garnishes are decorative ornaments that add character or style to a mixed drink, most notably to cocktails.
A large variety of cocktail garnishes are used. Many rum-based cocktails, especially those with fruit flavors, tend to be decorated with tropical-themed garnishes or slices of fruit. Tequila-based drinks favor limes and other citrus fruits. Gin- and vodka-based drinks tend toward garnishes with a more dignified flair (olives, onions, or possibly a citrus twist or a single maraschino cherry), unless they are variations of a fruity rum-based drink. Whiskey- and brandy-based drinks tend toward minimal garnishment, if any. Restaurant chains and hotel bars tend to use larger and more ostentatious garnishes, and neighborhood bars tend to go the other extreme.
Common edible garnishes
Some people enjoy eating these garnishes, but others consider them to be simply decoration.

Is it easier to have a baby if the guy wears boxers and has his nuts wrapped in layers of cool raw onions?
My wife saw a TV show where the Crocodile Hunter from Australia claimed that the potency of ones juice increases if the nuts are wrapped in onion to keep it cool. The doctor recommended letting the coconuts hang loose and not to squish it tightly in briefs to raise the count. Also the MD out of Sri Lanka recommends to keep it cool down there, even though I could never do it cooly and heat up in passion. My wife even has me going to work in boxers the jewels tied up in onion and resting on an ice pack. While at work I work with an obvious gait and a huge gap between my legs. People ask me if I have been punched down there, or did someone "grab it". The other day at a lunch meeting I heard people comment "boy the onions in the omelete sure did their job" and I poured a gallon of eau de cologne all over my pinstripes. Is the matter going too far? Should I get rid of the ice and onions and slip back into my briefs? Or is it worth the sacrifice in the name of paternity and fraternity?
O.K. the boxers vs. briefs thing i know has validity to it...but ONIONS? What the hell can an onion do for your testicles, besides make them smell horrible?!? I've even heard of the icing down treatment, but c'mon, an onion is just way too loopy. Did you get any scientific, medical proof about the 'sperm producing' power of an onion before you wrapped your nuggets in them? That's just ludicrous. And yes, it is going too far in the name of paternity...the boxer thing and ice, no, but onion? Yes.
