So, these are the most important properties to keep in mind while selecting aftershave for men.
Aftershave is available in the form of gels, moisturizers, creams, balms and liquid toners. Alcohol based aftershave is probably the most common aftershave. It has many useful properties. However, since alcohol evaporates quickly, the fragrance may not last for long.
In case your man has dry skin, keep away from an aftershave that has alcohol content as alcohol has a tendency to dry the skin even more. But, alcohol has antiseptic properties and if your man habitually nicks himself, it is better to use an alcohol based aftershave, at least in areas where the skin is cut. The next consideration is scent. Aftershave for men comes in a variety of fragrances. But, remember that men may not like the kind of fragrances that women are partial to. Perfumes that are applied on the body react with the oils secreted by the skin. This changes their smell after a while. Lastly, you have the price tag to consider. You might be tempted to buy an aftershave that is sinfully expensive. But, considering the fact that aftershave is meant to last for a small while and it has a really mundane job to do, there is no point in going for something that is too costly.
